A microphone is a transducer that converts sound signals into electrical signals. The most commonly used microphone in acoustic measurement is the condenser microphone, which uses a nickel or titanium alloy diaphragm and undergoes special stability treatment. It has advantages such as a wide frequency range, good frequency response, wide dynamic range, good dynamic characteristics, and good long-term stability. Microphones can be classified by their outer diameter as 1”, 1/2”, and 1/4”, with outer diameters of φ23.77, φ12.7, and φ6.35 respectively; by their frequency response as free field, pressure field (sound pressure field), and diffuse field; by their performance as laboratory standard microphones, working standard microphones, and engineering measurement microphones; and by whether or not a polarization voltage is applied as polarization voltage-applied and non-polarization voltage-applied (pre-polarized) microphones. Pre-polarized test capacitor microphones are more widely used because they do not require an additional polarization voltage, have simpler circuitry, and are therefore more widely accepted. Aiwa microphones conform to IEC61094-4:1995 "Electroacoustic Measurement Microphones - Part 4: Specifications for Working Standard Microphones" in terms of shape, installation dimensions, and main performance characteristics, and can directly replace corresponding measurement microphones from other manufacturers and imported instruments.
